This lovely antique gold thimble is English and is solid 15 Ct gold (tested and guaranteed). The band has a hand engraved scrolling floral design and the knurling is in a diamond pattern. The oval cartouche has been engraved 'Edith'.
The condition is very nice with no holes or repairs. It does have a tiny hairline right above the band, probably where it was originally joined. It's about an American size 7 (14.5 mm diameter opening) and weighs 5.2 grams (3.4 dwt)....

Antique Carved Ivory Thimble Acorn w/ Child's Thimble * C1830

This little antique acorn is smoothly carved of real ivory and has a beautiful old patina and grain pattern. Inside is a matching carved ivory child's thimble. It's about an American size 1 (11 mm diameter opening and 20 mm high). It is in perfect condition with no holes, chips or other damage.
The acorn has a very fine and tight hairline crack on the cap but is in otherwise excellent condition. It fits together snugly and measures 1 1/4" long....

This tall antique gold thimble is English and is solid 15 Ct gold (tested and guaranteed). The body is rose gold and the band has applied flowers and leaves in yellow gold. The flowers have hand engraved details and are applied over a stippled background. There is a rose gold cartouche that has not been personalized.
It has ultra fine knurling and the condition is excellent, in round with no holes, needling or other damage. It's about an American size 8 (15 mm diameter opening) and weighs 5.0 grams (3.2 dwt). Antique Two Color 18 Ct Gold French Thimble * C1809-1819

This elegant rounded top rose gold thimble has the French cock's head hallmark used for 18 Caret gold between 1809-1819. It also has the maker's mark. It has delicate knurling with applied yellow gold leaves and flowers around the band. It also has an applied shield cartouche that has a script monogram.
The condition is excellent, pretty much in round with no holes, dents, nicks or other damage. It weighs 2.9 grams and is about an American size 8....

Antique Engraved Band DORCAS Thimble * Charles Horner * C1895

This thimble is one of the early Dorcas thimbles and is marked "Pat" (patent) and 7 (size). The band is one of the rarer hand engraved ones with lovely scrolls. It has a steel core that is clad with a thick plate of sterling silver inside and out. It was made by Charles Horner in England in the late 19th century.
It's in excellent condition, crisp and in round with no dents, holes or repairs. One with this pattern is shown on p. 6 of Diane Pelham Burn's book Identifying Steel Cored Thimbles. It's about the same as an American size 9 and has no personalization...
